I'm a visual artist who has been doing photography and film since I was 16, when I found an old brownie box camera at a garage sale.
My 60+ years on this journey took me to all areas of the USA. I was a submarine sailor during the late 1970's, which took me off the coast of Russia monitoring the Russian navy, which took me to exotic places, like Hong Kong, Manila, Tokyo. Not long after the Navy I went to Hollywood for a brief time.
I wound up moving back to my home town St Louis and worked for a photography supplier, a then I was mentored in a pro studio where I did professional darkroom work.
I migrated to computer work for a while as the money was good, but after a few years I wound up moving to Miami and branded myself as Miamitom during the early 2000's and then around 2009 went to Nashville to shoot there for a few years.
I'm also a computer graphics and web technologist, which has paid the bills.
I've self published a scifi novel, worked for years doing marketing, podcasts, and marketing coaching. Yeah, I'm a bit of a dreamer and an optimist, but that's always an upside, even when it may not be readily apparent, but this is exactly what you want in someone like me. I still produce a few videos and I am writing a few screenplays for television.
